I set up shop as an illustrator in 2010 after graduating with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration.
My lifelong love of the oceans lead me to train as a Divemaster and after a brief stint working as an underwater tour guide, I progressed into a management role for a highly successful dive resort, and later a luxury boutique resort.
I expanded my skill set after several years working in tourism and hospitality management and I was able to marry my love of the ocean with passion for design.
Within these roles, I gained a great deal of first-hand experience, assisting in the running of a busy resort.
I was able to utilise my design skills and knowledge, designing both printed and digital items, including branding, welcome packs, brochures, posters, merchandise and formatting many images for print and web.
Behind the scenes, I was also involved with resort renovation projects, from overseeing the installation of new water filtration systems to designing better work flows for different areas of the resort.
Since leaving South East Asia, I have been working as a project manager for the renovation of a historical monument building in Bruges, Belgium, where I have been hands on with all aspects of the design.
In-between overseeing construction and decorating, I work on several ongoing web design projects and also volunteer design services for an environmental conservation organisation.
My personal artwork is centered around nature and wildlife and blends graphical imagery and handmade textures with playful hand drawn elements. I have exhibited art internationally and have held serveral auctions with proceeds going to several different marine conservation organisations and charities.
